At Tick Tock, we’re a family company, headed up by father and daughter team Bruce and Georgia Ginsberg. You might say we put rooibos on the map in the UK! We’re still proudly the nation’s favourite rooibos and one of Britain’s best-loved independent tea brands.
We’ve been fanatical about rooibos for over four generations. After all, it’s a very special tea; from a very special place. Together with our family values, our real love of rooibos underpins everything we do. That’s why we maintain close ties to our growers and personally taste every new batch – to make sure that we get that Tick Tock taste just right.
Our great-grandfather, Benjamin Ginsberg, pioneered rooibos in South Africa’s Cederberg mountains. Soon catching the tea bug, his son, Henry Charles, built up the family business into a thriving concern. He in turn passed the passion on to his own son, Bruce, who learned the trade on the family farms. It was Bruce who went on to introduce Tick Tock and many other speciality teas to the U.K.
Over 100 years since Benjamin’s first adventures with rooibos, his great-granddaughter Georgia continues the family tradition. Under her guidance, we remain an independent family company with a passion for wellbeing and that special Tick Tock taste, championing the role rooibos tea can play in promoting bright days and peaceful nights.
